Our Responsible Tourism and the Environment Responsible tourism is a key point in our corporate philosophy. We have developed an Environmental Policy, which we have to respect as much as possible, providing a sustained commitment to communities and the environment, to ensure we have a lasting positive effect. It is about “giving something back”. Our tourist activity involves: Environmental Respect, Social Commitment and Activities & Operations responsible and well managed. Through the our excursions, we want to raise the awareness of our visitors about environmental subjects which are extremely important in the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, one the biggest protected areas in the Ecuadorian Amazon Basin with its huge biodiversity. “Save the rainforest, it is home to more biodiversity than any other ecosystem and it is the key to protecting the planet’s health and curbing climate change…” Help us! To promote actively the conservation of the Amazon Rainforest, this is home to more biodiversity than any other ecosystem. It is the key to protecting the planet’s health and curbing climate change. Sustainable Tourism Our responsibility is to recognize that our operation involves the environment, cultures and communities that are fragile and sensitive to being impacted, so our goal is to be a real help to the local communities we work with, providing income and helping them to develop in a natural way, to provide positive cultural exchanges and operate in such a way that we not only try to maintain, but also improve the environment. The local involvement with the communities is an essential part of our operations in Cuyabeno Reserve. We work with Kichwa, Siona and Secoya – local communities – that previously provided trainings including environmental education and the promotion of their traditional costumes that their ancestors have taught them throughout generations. Local guides, motor canoe drivers, helpers and others help us and are part of our team too. We want to continue providing job in this area through of a tourist activity responsible.
